Which edition is right for me?
Free lets you try MouseMux with two users and a 45-minute session limit. Core removes the time limit and unlocks full personalization for up to four users. Advanced adds pen & touch input, on-screen drawing, cursor locking and gamepad support for up to eight users. Ultra unlocks every feature with unlimited users, plus macros, the replicator, GPU cursors, unlimited remote desktop and commercial use. The comparison table above shows exactly what each edition includes.
Is the free version really free?
Yes. The free edition is free forever (no account, no expiry). You get two pointers and the core multi-cursor experience. The only limit is 45 minutes per session - and you can simply restart it and keep going all day, as often as you like. That way you can properly test MouseMux on your own hardware before deciding to buy.
Can I get a discount? (students, nonprofits, tight budget, single feature)
Yes! Just ask. MouseMux should be within reach for everyone. If you are a student or teacher, a nonprofit, on a tight budget, or you only need a single feature like the replicator, email [email protected] and tell us your situation. We are a small team and handle every request personally, so we are happy to work something out.
What's the difference between Personal and Commercial use?
Core and Advanced are personal licenses, for use at home, at school, or for personal projects. The Ultra license is required for any use within a business, organization, or revenue-generating context. Ultra includes everything in Advanced plus macros, the replicator, GPU accelerated cursors, unlimited remote desktop via RustDesk, unlimited screen sharing, and priority support.
What does "lifetime license" mean?
You pay once and the software is yours: it never stops working and there is no subscription. You also keep getting updates as we release them. We will not promise updates forever, but we have been building MouseMux for over 20 years and intend to keep improving it for a long time to come.
Do I need a license per computer?
Core and Advanced licenses each cover 1 computer. The Ultra license covers up to 2 computers owned by the same person or organization. Contact us for volume pricing if you need more.
Do remote users count toward my user limit?
Yes. Your edition's user limit is the total number of people working at the same time, whether they are sitting at the PC with their own mouse and keyboard or connecting remotely (for example via RustDesk). Advanced, for instance, supports up to eight users in any mix of local and remote.
Can I move my license to another computer?
Yes. Uninstall MouseMux from the old machine, install it on the new one and register the same key there. If you replaced hardware or reinstalled Windows and the activation complains, drop us a line and we'll sort it out.
How do I receive and activate my license?
Your license key is emailed to you immediately after purchase. In MouseMux, open Settings, press Register and paste the key. Done. No account needed and activation works without interrupting your session.
What payment methods and currencies can I use?
You can pay by credit or debit card from anywhere in the world. European customers can also pay in euros using local methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact and Wero. Checkout is handled securely by our payment provider, and your license key arrives by email right after purchase.
Can I upgrade my license later?
Yes. If you start on Core and decide you want Advanced or Ultra, you only pay the difference. Just contact us with your original order and we'll send you an upgrade link. And if you own a MouseMux V2 license: you are automatically upgraded to V3 for free, and your existing key keeps working.
How does Enterprise pricing work?
Enterprise is for SCADA, industrial control rooms, and large organizations that need custom hardware support, SDK access, white-labeling, or a dedicated SLA. Pricing is annual and scoped per project. Reach out at [email protected].

That's MouseMux Enterprise: custom builds, SDK access, engine licensing, white-labeling and dedicated support, for SCADA, control rooms, simulators and software vendors. Different from running the Ultra product yourself.
